About Our Organization

Statement

Friends of Hrant Dink, Inc. (FoHD) was established in memory of Hrant Dink, a Turkish-Armenian newspaper editor who was assassinated in Istanbul in 2007. It aims at carrying on the legacy of Hrant Dink by expanding the reach of his thoughts and ideas beyond the boundaries of Turkey, in order to spread the universal norms of human rights within the United States and beyond.

Annual Lecture

Once a year FoHD funds and organizes the Hrant Dink Memorial Lecture at Harvard University’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES).

Talks / Panels

Once or twice a year FoHD develops online or in-person panel discussion on timely topics in support of our mission.

Fundraising

FoHD engages in fundraising efforts in the community in support of our mission.

Partnerships

FoHD partners with organizations such as the National Association for Armenian Studies and Research (NAASR) and (NELC).
